Its introduction in 1984 was a bold move during a time when ultra-thin quartz watches were dominant. Breitling ventured into a highly impressive mechanical timepiece. Collaborating with the famed Italian Air Force, they developed the Frecce Tricolori chronograph in 1983. The following year, they released the Chronomat based on it, celebrating Breitling's style cultivated over a century and contributing to bringing the mechanical chronograph back to its rightful and important position within the brand. With its practicality to withstand demanding flights and its stylishness suitable for off-duty wear after taking off a flight jacket, it gained global acclaim. This Japan Limited model features an unprecedented icy gray dial and a matching gray rubber strap, a first for this model, creating an exquisite color tone. The strikingly red chronograph seconds hand adds a sporty touch, making it the perfect limited edition for those who prefer subtle differences. The case back is engraved with "ONE OF 150," indicating the limited production number. Of course, it is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.
